Bone loss and periodontal disease

The periodontists is one of the most serious diseases of the gums, which originated in successive infections promoted by dental plaque or bacterial broth culture generated by poor dental hygiene in most cases, once installed pathology between its serious consequences including bone loss.

When periodontitis not receive proper treatment, infections promote bone loss, as well as in the worst case the infection spreads in the organic system generating serious health problems in other levels, such as the heart.

In periodontitis the spaces generated by infections are called “pockets “that form between the teeth and gums, becoming infectious, that if they do not receive proper dental treatment affecting the gum tissue and bone that hold teeth coming to destroy them .

The characteristic symptoms of periodontitis found bleeding gums and ulcerations of the gums, but also may be accompanied by sore throat, swollen glands and sometimes feverish conditions. The main cause of periodontal disease is plaque generated by the interaction of food waste with bacteria in the mouth; good dental hygiene can control for only 24 hours, and then re-forms.

Poor dental hygiene power problem and this is hardened plaque becomes tartar arriving penetrate the gum line and can only be removed by a professional cleaning, which may also require the administration of antibiotics to control bacterial infection, but if this does not happen or is that left untreated, eventually leads to the breakdown of the bone where the teeth stimulating the loss of them are anchored.
